Back in April of 2019 I had my tonsils removed, as well as a concha bullosa turbinoplasty. Did it suck? Yes. Did recovery take 3-4 *full* weeks? Yes. Did I eat a lot of popsicles and chocolate shakes and gain a zillion pounds? Yes.

But did it change my entire life from a health perspective? YES! I went from having 2-3 *epic* strep throats per year (that would hang in there for 45+ days sometimes) to barely getting a sniffle since (well, except that one time I got COVID).

If you're someone like me who was plagued by nose/throat issues all your life, please go see an ENT! Even several if you have to. The first one I went to essentially said I was being a big baby and to just suck it up. The second one actually cared and took scans of my head, when led to the discovery of the concha bullosa and a handful of other problems.

I'm blessed to have a nurse as a wife who always encourages me to fight for my healthcare. Make sure you fight too!
