Ok so I'm probably getting worked up over nothing, but during the eclipse last week, my truck's backup camera ceased to function.

Seriously.

A few hours prior to the eclipse it was working fine, but during the eclipse - and actually, for the rest of the day as well - the camera would only show this image:

Starting at 8 a.m. the next day, the camera started working fine again and all has been dandy ever since.

But this experience has raised one silly and one serious question:

- Serious: could there _really_ be any connection between the eclipse and a busted backup camera?  
- Silly: do you think my manufacturer's warranty covers "unexpected damaged from eclipse?"
